I have a box blade attached to my 3 point hitch. I've been using it some and now it won't lower. My front in loader works fine. It appears the hydraulic oil may be low. I just don't know about the equipment but strongly believe I shouldn't get between the raised box blade and the rear tractor wheel to get a closer look at the oil level.1416 posts · Joined 2016. #6 · Jan 13, 2021. When I move the 3 point lever to the raised position, the box only lifts 6" off the ground. It hits constantly when driving around the property. The 6" is when on level ground with the box level. Assuming that"s engaged, failure to lift is generally caused by a problem with the control valve sticking in the exhaust position. This usually solves the lock problem. If it does, drop the 3 point all the way and slowly work it a few times, and you will be good to go. If that does not free up the lever, shut the tractor off and check the pressure pop valves in the tractor side of the quick couplers/spools. Make sure they can all be pushed in.
