The only difference between 2++ and 2+ is a slightly different stock tube, change due to supply. It has a gain switch with high and low modes available, and RCA input/pre out. It features Coherence. And Schiit was thoughtful enough to include a 3.5mm to 6.3mm adapter. The volume knob is a delightful experience and makes you feel like you didn't purchase a bargain basement product. I am currently using a set of Shure 440's until I find something more comfortable.
